VespOhio is proud to announce that Sloopy’s Revenge is returning for a 4th year in 2024. However, we are changing the format slightly. We will be locating this year’s rally around Salt Fork State Park in Cambridge, OH. This location provides rally goers more diverse options for lodging as there is the campground, cabins and a lodge/hotel. We recommend booking early as possible since Ohio State Parks fill up fast.

Preliminary Schedule:

Thursday, 8/1/24: Two rides on this day. One at Lunch time for those camping Wednesday night. A second ride for dinner leaving in the evening for those arriving in the afternoon. We will try to pick somewhere for dinner where we can socialize.

Friday, 8/2/24: Long Ride Day. This ride won’t be for the faint of heart! We will head south with a stop at Big Muskie and the tiniest Kroger before riding some of the Triple Nickel or Ohio-555. A long one (153 miles) but some of the best riding in the entire state.

Saturday, 8/3/24: We will take a ride around the local area, eat lunch and return to the park mid-afternoon. Our Evening activity is at Salt Fork Beach where we have a shelter reserved for an evening beach party and cookout. Bring your swimsuits, beach blankets and appetites! Unfortunately, alcohol is only allowed on campsites in state parks. I am just the messenger. How you choose to use this information to pack your drinking vessels is up to you.

Sunday, 8/4/24: Safe Travels!

Camping can be reserved at Ohio State Parks – Ohio State Parks Reservation System (reserveohio.com). Do this ASAP, even if you are undecided. Campsites are going fast and cancellation fees are low. Many of us are in the F loop.

Cabins and the Lodge at Salt Fork can be reserved at https://www.saltforkparklodge.com/

Hotels can be found here, THE 10 CLOSEST Hotels to Salt Fork State Park, Cambridge (tripadvisor.com)

Please be sure your bike can keep up on State/US highways with a 55mh speed limit. This is a safety issue.

Registered participants will receive an email a few days before the event with the link to the routes. Feel free to join us for the whole 4 day weekend, just one ride or anything in between. Just make sure you register, sign a waiver when you get here, come ride with us during the day and hang out around a campfire with us at night. It’s guaranteed that you will make some new friends who share this love we have for scootering.
